Sukeshan Kanka has been selected as the winner of the first Shilpapaddiam Award. The award carries Rs.1,10101 (One lakh, one thousand, one hundred and one Rupees) and a plaque. Born in Thrissur, Sukeshan Kanka did his Bachelors in Sculpture from Thrissur Fine Arts College and was involved in the redesigning of Saktan Thampuran Musuem in Thrissur. Currently Kanka is a resident sculptor in Shilpapaddiam.
